This is a community art project proposal that has yet to be realized. Here is a excerpt from my proposal:

The design that I propose for the community center is a hand painted mirror wall. I will use
10 ¼“ x 10 ¼ “ wood framed mirrors from IKEA. I plan on hosting an event at the community center for decorating the mirrors and installing them.

As far as decorating goes, I will provide paints and some mixed media products such as glass beads, feathers, pieces of wood, tiles, googly eyes, and so on. I will encourage participants to bring materials that they can find as well and I will hope to create a large multi media collage. Using art as a common thread among cultures I plan to make this art piece a community building experience.
